Chicago Cultural Center

A few weeks ago, Matt and I wandered over to the Chicago Cultural Center on Michigan Avenue, across the street from Millennium Park.  The Chicago Cultural Center was once home to Chicago's central library.  This landmark is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the most visited locations in Chicago.  Marble staircases, stained glass, gorgeous views, I can see why people would flock here to listen to lectures, discussions, watch films or simply sit and read in the reading room (this is on my list for a winter activity!).  It was hard not to imagine a grander time, and the people that might have passed through this building. Just an amazing place.

P.S.  A few of the pictures might give you a hint that this was once a library....can you guess which ones?
