Our first DePaul sporting event!

We had another Chicago first this weekend: our first DePaul sporting event.  Our friend, Sean, invited us to see the women's basketball team in action.  We hadn't been to a college sporting event since our last basketball game in Gainesville - so we were excited!

The Blue Demons didn't disappoint and beat West Virginia 78-55.  The DePaul women's team was aggressive, competitive, and very talented.  They have a winning season ahead of them, and Matt even thinks they'll make it to the NCAA Tournament.  I hope so too!  Go DePaul!

P.S.  Pictures of Dibs (DePaul's Demon in a Blue Suit); Sean and Matt with #51 - Katherine Harris (well, her cardboard cutout, but still pretty cool!).

Old Town School of Folk Music and Chicago Brauhaus

It had been too long since we had heard some good live music so Saturday evening we checked out Trad Fest at the Old Town School of Folk Music.

On the way home, we couldn't help but stop by the Chicago Brauhaus, which is right down the street from Old Town. The entertainment reminded us of the parade scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off
